Is Going To A Brothel Immoral If You Are Single?
When it comes to sex people often get stuck on the moral issues. The way we were raised affects how we view morals, and what is right and wrong for us. We make these decisions sometimes without even thinking about them.
This is why it’s a good time to sit back and really think about what your morals are, where they came from, and what choices you want to make.
Recent studies show that in America, roughly 16% of men have visited escorts or prostitutes. Are they moral men or immoral men?
That is the question these statistics beg to have answered. Let’s take a look at it from an objective viewpoint.
Why Do People Go To Brothels?
There is an expectation that men who go to brothels do it for sex. This is particularly strongly believed by people who have never been to a brothel before.
But the truth is, sex is only one of many reasons why people visit brothels. Some people simply want a non-judgmental person to talk to. Some just want to hug and kiss. Others want back rubs, or to be read to, or lie down next to someone for a while. And still others want to spend time with a good-looking stranger who has nothing to do with their life.
Sure, some do expect to have sex; but that’s far from the only reason. It doesn’t have to be sexual. It can be for any reason you’d want. There’s no one way to go to a brothel.
So if you think of it in those terms, what could be wrong with going to a brothel? Absolutely nothing, in any moral sense that we are aware of.
Do Women In Brothels Have To Have Sex With You?
Part of your moral concern may come from the fact that you assume women in brothels have to have sex with you simply because you’ve paid for their time.
This is quite simply not true. When you buy the time of a man or woman in a brothel, that’s all you get – their time.
They may choose to have sex with you. They may also choose not to have sex with you. In this way, meeting a woman in a brothel is just like being on a date. Of course, your odds are higher; but it is still their choice.
If a man and a woman meet anywhere and she chooses to have sex with him, what moral argument could you possibly have with that?
We could see an argument if you were in a committed relationship, but if you are single, you’re free to do what you want and not worry about violating any moral code.
The Bottom Line
At the end of the day, there is nothing immoral about going to a brothel if you are single. It is your choice. And what happens at the brothel is the sole choice of the woman (or man) you are seeing.
As long as you are not violating the trust of a partner, you should have no moral worries at all about seeing a woman in a brothel.
Of course, we are not advocating going to brothels of having sex with the women there. We are simply responding to questions we receive from people who have concerns about brothels.
